Architraves & Skirtings! We Need Help!!!!!

So we are a bit stuck, 3 Ideas on how to do the joining of the Architraves and Skirting boards.

To Corner Block or not to Corner Block?

That is my question to you all…

I believe we are leaning towards idea 1, a Corner Block the same size as the Architraves and Skirting boards.

Edit: ignore the gaps etc, the wood is not stuck to the wall, just sitting there

Update:

Idea 1, Simple Corner Blocks

Idea 2, Larger Corner Blocks

Idea 3, No Corner Blocks
