DarkAxi0m.Name

Ive finally found a dns host that is not going to cost me the earth each year. So SiRMonkeys can live on a bit longer. I still cannot work out how to get A dns reslover to work on the SiRMonkeys server but for now this will do.

Because of this change ive deciede to finally move my little blog from darkaxi0m.sirmonkeys.com to DarkAxi0m.Name. I quite enojoy the idea of running 2 websites from one ip/server Its still a bit glitchy, ie www.darkaxi0m.name takes you to sirmonkeys.com (but the address still says www.darkaxi0m.name). Ill work out virutal hosts one day. I would like tobe able to set up subdomains based off of dirs, so cheese.darkaxi0m.com will have a dir path of darkaxi0m.name\cheese or at least make chages to them with out changing apache conf file. Hmmmm

Servers, DNS and anoying things that run the Internet.

Just had a quite look at the SiRMoneys Server Uptime, its currently sitting on 70 Days. Which is getting close to my record of 120days, which was a windows xp lol. I really need to work out some kinda of automated backup… Not sure ‘what’ files to back up.

Ive given up, for now, my idea of running my own SiRMonkeys external DNS Server. I have it working on the internal computer, but for the life of me i can seem to get it to work in the out side world. I might have to find a book or something. The only way i know how to test it now is,   on a  windows box,

C:\>nslookup sirmonkeys.com
*** Can't find server name for address 60.242.67.169: No response from server

i have darkaxi0m.name pointing to SiRMonkeys, but i’m not sure how to test if sirmonkeys is accepting dns requests.

Also, Ive have to find the cash to pay for SiRMonkeys dnydns account before the end of the month.. yay        stupid hobby!

Choices!

So ive finally Made some choices, they dont mean much, but its a new thing for me.

Firstly.. my car ive decided to something a little over the top, and thats port n polish my head, no idea if this will so any gain… but figured it does not look to hard, so why not.
So i start that this weekend, hopefully it does not take to long.

Car Things left to do,

• Engine in
• Dash Wiring done
• Front body
• Battery relocated
• Stereo Finished

Also, ive also gone against my original thoughts about adds on sirmonkeys… ive decided to put a few on there, but im trying to keep them to the busy sections of the site only.

The Game

So i’ve decided to get back onto my idea of making a game, that i have started and stopped too many times all ready. I figured if i put things down on ‘paper’ i might get further.

Ive all but lost my old thoughts and notes, for now I’m going start again and see where it takes me.

 ”i will build the world… will anyone come? i dont care. For now its all a lesson learned”
